Cloth that remembers where it comes from.

Every piece is dyed by hand in true indigo, then cut into silhouettes you will actually live in. Small batches. No two ever identical.

Our craft

Dyed the slow way, on purpose.

Adire — literally “tied and dyed” — has been made by Yorùbá women for over a century. We work with a dye house in Abẹ́òkúta that still ferments natural indigo in clay pots, the way their grandmothers did.

Your order is cut only after the cloth passes Mama Fọlá's inspection. That takes a few days longer. We think you'll feel the difference.

Word of mouth

I wore the wrap dress to my sister's introduction and three aunties asked for the tailor's number. There is no tailor. There is only Adíre & Co.
